Christ is Risen, Allelujah, oh, Allelujah!
"Resurrection" - from the Valley of Vision: A collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions
"O God of my Exodus,
Great was the joy of Israel's sons,
when Egypt died upon the shore,
Far greater the joy
when the Redeemer's foe lay crushed
in the dust.
Jesus strides forth as the victor,
conqueror of death, hell and all opposing might;
He bursts the bands of death,
tramples the powers of darkness down,
and lives for ever.
He, my gracious surety,
apprehended for payment of my debt,
comes forth from the prison house of the grave
free, and triumphant over sin, Satan and death.
Show me herein the proof that his vicarious offering is accepted,
that the claims of justice are satisfied,
that the devil's scepter is shivered,
that his wrongful throne is leveled.
Give me the assurance that in Christ I died,
in Him I rose,
in His life I live, in His victory I triumph,
in His ascension I shall be glorified.
Adorable Redeemer,
Thou Who wast lifted up upon a cross
art ascended to highest heaven.
Thou, Who as Man of sorrows
wast crowned with thorns,
art now as Lord of life wreathed with glory.
Once, no shame more deep than thine,
no agony more bitter,
no death more cruel.
Now, no exaltation more high,
no life more glorious,
no advocate more effective.
Thou art in the triumph car leading captive
thine enemies behind Thee.
What more could be done than Thou hast done!
Thy death is my life,
thy resurrection my peace,
thy ascension my hope,
thy prayers my comfort."
Christ is risen!
He is risen, indeed!
Matthew 28:1-10 "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. (2)And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. (3)His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. (4)And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. (5)But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. (6) "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (7)"And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." (8)So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. (9)And as they(the women) went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him." (10)Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."
Rejoice all ye peoples, all ye heavens, all the earth, Rejoice for Christ our Mediator is risen! "Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!"
A joyful Easter Sunday to you all ... I love you.

"Up from the Grave He Arose"Our Redeemer, Christ Jesus, is risen! He has conquered death and the grave! We fear condemnation no longer! As Jesus told the women in Matthew - Rejoice!
1. Low in the grave he lay—
Jesus, my Savior,
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus, my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives for ever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2. Vainly they watch his bed—
Jesus, my Savior;
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus, my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives for ever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
3. Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Savior;
He tore the bars away—
Jesus, my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes.
He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives for ever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!
"Christ the Lord is Risen Today"
1. "Christ the Lord is risen today," Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say; Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high; Alleluia!
Sing ye heav'ns, and earth, reply: Alleluia!
2. Vain the stone, the watch, the seal; Alleluia!
Christ has burst the gates of hell: Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids his rise; Alleluia!
Christ hath opened Paradise. Alleluia!
3. Lives again our glorious King; Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died, our souls to save; Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!
4. Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head; Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise: Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies. Alleluia!
5. Hail, the Lord of earth and heav'n! Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be giv'n; Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now; Alleluia!
Hail, the Resurrection Thou! Alleluia!
