Face of 2012 -

Hi! It's been so long since I did this, it feels like old times. :) I'm so glad you stopped by, y'all. I always feel like I'm sitting down in a huge circle of photography lovers, and just flipping through albums of our favorites when I do this.

Here is a photo I shot of one of my best friends in March 2012. It was her senior photoshoot and we were having a blast. Normally it's hard to get a serious photo of either of us, we love to laugh. :) The dragonflies were swooping through the evening dusk as the sun set and the light dimmed rapidly. Crickets sang as the Florida breeze moved through the trees. It was quiet and peaceful.

 I have so many faces and portraits that I love from 2012. But 2012 was also a really hard year. And Becs and I walked through grief and loss together. Encouraging, praying, hugging. Bearing burdens like best friends do.

When I found this one, my heart just refused to choose anything else.
And here's to 2013! (I love you, Becs)
