Sunday Reflections (21) -

"My faith rests not in what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know,
but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me."
~ Charles Spurgeon ~

"The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust."
~ Psalm 103: 8-14 ~

"I Need Thee Every Hour" by Annie S. Hawks (1872)

"1. I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord;
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.

Chorus: I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee.

2. I need Thee every hour, stay Thou nearby;
temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh.

I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee.

3. I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain;
Come quickly and abide, or life is in vain.

I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee.

4. I need Thee every hour, teach me Thy will;
and thy rich promises in me fulfill.

I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee.

5. I need Thee every hour, most Holy One;
O make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son.

I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee;
O bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee."
